Start by clicking on the relevant Job Card with PWA tracking enabled. Then, click on the Pay Tab from the sub-navigation bar near the top of the screen. This will open the Pay Tab.

Please see the video below for a demonstration:

Filtering the Pay Tab

There are two ways that the Pay Tab can be filtered.

Pay Period Filter

The active Pay Period, shown at the top of the screen, determines which data is displayed across all sections of the Pay Tab.

  • The left arrow (←) navigates to the previous Pay Period.
  • The right arrow (→) navigates to the next Pay Period.
  • The date range dropdown allows selection of a specific Pay Period from the available list.

All compliance and earnings data will automatically reflect the selected Pay Period.

Please see the video below for a demonstration:

Daily vs. Cumulative Toggles

The Daily and Cumulative Toggles at the top of the Pay Tab change the data displayed on the Graph Representation Dashboard.

The Daily view shows a day-by-day breakdown of the total PWA Obligation, Combined Earnings, and Cash in Lieu of Fringe for all Workers on the Job.

The Cumulative view shows how the total PWA Obligation, Combined Earnings, and Cash in Lieu of Fringe for all Workers on the Job accrue across time.

To select the Daily or Cumulative view, click the appropriate toggle at the top of the screen.

How to Read the Pay Tab

There are four primary sections of the Pay Tab: the Summary Overview Dashboard, the Graph Dashboard, the Workforce Compliance Dashboard, and the Worker Payment Breakdown Dashboard.

Pay Tab Summary Overview Dashboard

The Summary Overview Dashboard includes up to six different metrics that are tracked in real-time (pictured below).

  • PWA Obligation:
    • The total amount (wages plus fringe) required to be paid to all Workers in the selected Pay Period to satisfy PWA compliance.
  • Expected Earnings:
    • The total amount scheduled to be paid to all Workers in the selected Pay Period based on how pay is configured in DSPTCH, including wages and planned fringe (such as pre-planned cash fringe).
  • Actual Earnings:
    • The total amount actually paid to all Workers in the selected Pay Period.
      • NOTE: DSPTCH must be connected to your Company’s payroll system to calculate this.
  • Cash in Lieu of Fringe:
    • The total additional amount (calculated by DSPTCH) that must be paid as cash to satisfy each Worker’s PWA Obligation, based on current pay configuration in DSPTCH.
  • Expected Outstanding:
    • This value represents the total gap between the PWA Obligation and Expected Earnings across all Workers. It reflects the amount that is required to be paid above their Expected Earnings (through cash in lieu of fringe) to bring each Worker’s earnings up to their individual PWA Obligation.
      • NOTE: Because each Worker has a distinct PWA Obligation, it's possible for some Workers' Expected Earnings to exceed their PWA Obligation amount. When that happens, their surplus inflates the total Expected Earnings without affecting the total PWA Obligation requirement for other Workers. As a result, even if the total Expected Earnings appears close to the total PWA Obligation, the system may still show a significant Cash in Lieu of Fringe amount due to surpluses from certain Workers and shortfalls from other Workers.
  • Actual Outstanding:
    • The total gap between each Worker’s PWA Obligation and the amount they were actually paid in the selected Pay Period.
      • NOTE: DSPTCH must be connected to your Company's payroll system to calculate this.

Pay Tab Graph Dashboard

The Graph Dashboard provides a visual timeline of PWA Obligation, Combined Earnings, and Cash in Lieu of Fringe values across the selected Pay Period.

Pay Tab Workforce Compliance Dashboard

The Workforce Compliance Dashboard shows a high level overview of important data such as the total hours worked during the Pay Period and the number of compliant/non-compliant Workers (pictured below).

  • Hours Worked:
    • The total number of hours worked across all Workers for the given Pay Period.
  • Non-Compliant Workers:
    • The number of Workers whose Actual Pay is less than their PWA Obligation.
  • Actual Earnings:
    • The number of Workers whose Actual Pay is greater than or equal to their PWA Obligation.

Pay Tab Worker Payment Breakdown Dashboard

The Worker Payment Breakdown Dashboard shows the PWA Obligation, Expected Earnings, Actual Earnings, Cash in Lieu of Fringe, Expected Outstanding, and Actual Outstanding amount for each Worker on the Job (pictured below).

Please see the Pay Tab Summary Overview Dashboard Section for an explanation of each calculation.
