On-Cycle Paystub Import Template
DSPTCH accepts a strict format for On-Cycle Paystub Imports.
The template for On-Cycle Paystub Imports can be downloaded here.
There are four columns in the On-Cycle Paystub Import template:
- Payroll ID (Required):
- The unique Payroll ID for your User as it appears in DSPTCH
- To find a User's Payroll ID click on the People tab from the main navigation bar and then click on the User's profile. Lastly, scroll down to the Employment Details section of their profile and locate the Payroll ID listed there.
- For more detailed instructions on how to find a User's Payroll ID, read our documentation here.
- Field Name (Required):
- The name of the line item as it appears in the external payroll system. Used to categorize amounts appropriately.
- This will need to be manually mapped to a set Deduction/Contribution type within DSPTCH (instructions here).
- Contributor (Required):
- Entity for which the amount is applicable. Acceptable values are EMPLOYEE or EMPLOYER only. Note that earnings such as wages should be marked as EMPLOYEE.
- Amount (Required):
- The monetary value of the line item in the applicable currency.

Please see the video below for a demonstration:

If this is your first time completing an On-Cycle Paystub Import (or there are new Field Names in your upload), it will be required to map all unknown Field Names to a set Contribution/Deduction Category within DSPTCH.
Instructions are detailed directly below.
How to Map Fields From Your On-Cycle Paystub Import to DSPTCH
Start by clicking on the Time Tab from the main navigation bar at the top of the screen. Then, click the "Settings" tab from the sub-navigation bar near the top of the screen. On the menu on the left-hand side of the screen, click the "Integrations" Tab.
In the Unknown Mappings Section, there will be a list of all unknown External Names that are compensation line items found in the On-Cycle Paystub Import but have not been mapped to any known DSPTCH categories. External Names correspond to the Field Name from the On-Cycle Paystub Import.
Edit each unknown External Name to assign it to a known DSPTCH category by clicking on the pencil icon on the right side of the screen for each unknown External Name.
At a minimum, DSPTCH requires mappings for Gross Pay, Net Pay, Deductions, and Fringe Benefits (if applicable).
For Certified Payroll Report generation, ensure that all deduction categories are properly mapped to display itemized withholdings accurately.
If your payroll includes Per Diem or Mobilization payments, these must also be mapped.
Examples of DSPTCH Category Mappings:
- Gross Pay = Earning - Gross Pay
- Net Pay = Earning - Net Pay
- Per Diem = Per Diem (pre-tax)
- Mobilization Payment = Earning - Day Rate
Please provide a mapping to each of these categories that applies within your On-Cycle Paystub Import.
Then, in the Deduction or Contribution field, click on the drop-down and select the most applicable category. Lastly, click "Save" to complete the mapping.
