Forms: Form Overview - Mobile

Table of Contents

Users can access forms created by their Company and submit Form Responses that can be viewed by their Manager(s).

For context, Managers create Form Assignments which requires that specific Users complete a Form by a certain due date. These Form Assignments are tied to Jobs that a User is actively participating on. Certain Form Assignments may have repeat schedules and need to be completed on a regular basis.

How to View and Open Form Assignments

There are two ways to view Form Assignments on DSPTCH Mobile.

View Form Assignments from the Forms Tab

To start, tap the Forms Tab from the main navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. By default this will open the Upcoming Assignments Page, which shows a list of all Form Assignments due in the future. Additionally, there is an Overdue Assignments and Completed Assignments Page.

To complete an upcoming/overdue Form Assignment or view a completed Form Assignment, tap on the Form. Read the How to Fill Out a Form Section below for instructions on how to enter the fields on a Form.

How to Complete a Form Assignment

Each Form Assignment will involve fields that must be completed before submitting. There are are multiple field types such as text entry, numerical entry, yes/no toggle, multiple choice, multi-select, file upload, etc.

If a field has a red asterisk symbol next to it, this indicates that is a required field that must be completed before submitting. If a Form is submitted without completing all required fields, DSPTCH will display a warning and prevent the response from being saved.

The Forms Catalog Page

The Forms Catalog page provides a list of all Form Templates associated with your Company.

To access the Forms Catalog page, tap the Forms tab from the main navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Then, click the All Forms tab from the navigation bar at the top of the screen. This will open the Forms Catalog page.

Form Templates can be filtered by the "tags" associated with them. Tags are keywords or phrases that describe the type of form (similar to hashtags in a social media post). Use the search icon in the bottom right of the Forms Catalog page and then search for relevant tags.

Moving on, tapping on a Form Template will open a page with all past submissions of this Form Template. These responses can be viewed or edited directly from this page by tapping the "View" or "Edit" Button next to a response. Additionally, new submissions of this Form Template can be created from this page by tapping the "Start New Form" Button.

FAQ: What if I can't see the Forms I need?

If a necessary Form is not visible, your profile may not be in your company.

Check for an invite or contact your manager.

How to Use Offline Available Forms

It is possible to access Forms offline, but there is an additional step required.

To access a Form offline, open and load the Form that will be completed later while connected to the internet.

This will essentially "download" the Form, allowing for entering data later on. There is no need to fill in any fields at this stage, just open it once.

Once the Form is filled out and submitted offline, DSPTCH will save the response and upload it as soon as internet connection is restored.

If a Form has not been opened while connected to the internet, it is not possible to complete it offline.
