Jobs: Creating a Job - Web

Table of Contents

Jobs in DSPTCH are the object that contains all the information necessary about work being completed for a customer or project.

Within jobs, information is stored about who is requesting & providing the service for the job, where the work is taking place, what the scope of work is. Additionally, jobs allow for storing and sharing of important contacts & documents. Time Entries and Form Submissions can be tied to jobs, allowing for robust viewing and recording of safety and billing information about your job.

How to Create a New Job

To create a new job, navigate to the "Jobs" page and then hit the "+ New job" button near the top right on the Jobs page. See video below for illustration.

    • Toggle this on to send reminders to workers to clock in/out when they arrive at and leave the job site.

Custom Fields

Custom fields are a way to store any information not offered by DSPTCH. For instance, to track the service line a Job belongs to in an accounting system, a custom field can be created and named "Service Line," then selected when creating the Job. Custom fields are created at the settings section of the app - check out our settings documentation to learn more.

Custom fields are scoped to companies, so when choosing the dropdown you will be shown options based upon the company selected in the "Provider" section of the create job form.
